The Upper House

July 9, 2018

I had the unforgettable experience of staying at the Upper House. Should you wish to experience the highest level of professionalism and discretion, this property stands as a benchmark to all.

Central, art deco, and quiet

The Upper House sits in Hong Kong’s Central district, with art deco interiors, city views and free Wi-Fi throughout. Valet parking, 24-hour room service and a coffee bar cover the basics, and the fitness centre is there for guests keeping up a routine while travelling.

Every room is air conditioned, with tea and coffee making facilities, a rain shower and a mini bar, plus a homely sitting area to spread out in. Selected rooms add a television LCD/plasma screen, complimentary tea and coffee, a locker and a mirror; the hotel’s own recreational facilities run to a fitness centre and massage.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the lounge bar is the usual stop in the evening - though Hong Kong Central has its own wide choice of cafes and restaurants nearby. Central Plaza, Statue Square, the HSBC Main Building, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Bank of China Tower are all close enough to visit on foot.
