Three houses, one legendary stretch of coast
Gracing the southern tip of Cap d’Antibes, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc belongs to the small handful of establishments where time seems to stand still, hidden among the rustle of Aleppo pines. For the past hundred years, this Napoleon III-era hotel has welcomed artists and writers, and later the elite and aristocracy of Europe. Cared for by dedicated artisans, it remains one of the last true old-school Riviera palace hotels.
Following an extensive restoration, the hotel’s elegance and appeal have only been sharpened. The 118 guestrooms are split across three separate locations: the main Hotel du Cap building - the original Villa Soleil, full of historic glamour; the Eden Roc Pavilion, with the sea directly below; and Les Deux Fontaines Residence, the more private wing, with fresher, lighter interiors.
Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is a 35-minute drive away, and Marineland is a short ride from the hotel. Facing the property are the wild Lerins Islands, with Cannes tucked behind the next bay - reachable in about 25 minutes, same as Nice. Closer to home, a walk around Cap d’Antibes itself unfurls the Mediterranean at every turn. Some guests still arrive the old way: by boat, stepping off the teak dock straight onto the retro pool deck carved into the rocks.
